he is One of the unhuman judges, he has so much experience BUT. The person was in the US for 10 tears and all time the save was in the process. The person never broke the law, Followed rules, and worked hard to build a life in a new country. The judge decided to terminate the case for NO reason! So after 10 tears person becomes no one !!!!

I am a social scientist with 45 years of experience in Central America (Ph.D. Cornell University). In 2018 or 2017 I served as an expert witness, supporting a Guatemalan immigrant who was fleeing for his life from organized criminal gangs that were extorting him. They already murdered his father and threatened his wife. She was living in 2-3 different places to hide herself and children in Totonicapán, Guatemala.

Unfortunately, my client’s immigration hearing was conducted by a “judge” Philip Law (Lau was once listed).

Mr. Law (Lau?) completely forgot – or didn’t understand – due process and our national Founding Father credos of “…all men are created equal” and “…with liberty and justice for all”, when, in court, he totally dismissed my expert witness testimony and opinion and my presence with the immigration law team I supported. Then he had the gall to claim our client didn’t provide “a scintilla” of evidence in his favor.

I’ve commented online before about this “judge” – he should not be in the legal system. I can give you the exact date and case I’m referring to. He is and was a disgrace to his profession and to the courts of California.

He is a great judge. He can be a little unfair when it comes to something like a telephonic appearance but he’s for the most part one of the better judges despite quirks.
