About the Immigration Judge

Attorney General William Barr appointed Guy G. Grande to begin hearing cases in October 2019. Judge Grande earned a Bachelor of Science in 1989 from University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor in 1994 from University of San Diego. From 2015 to 2019, he served as assistant chief counsel, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, at the Otay Mesa Detention Center, in San Diego. From 1994 to 2015, he worked in private immigration practice at Aguirre Law Group APC. Judge Grande is a member of the California State Bar.
